Nexus In Tampa

Hi All,

It's so busy here it's unreal. But i'm going to try and watch the Nexus games and give you the results and a breakdown (time and life permitting).

Game 1.... Vs Rage.

Nexus took pretty much all the 50's right and centre and played real good until they lost both back corner giving Rage the chance to move around more freely. Rage tried a run through early and shot two Nexus players on the spin but both Nexus players got wiped down (but no 1-4-1 for some reason). Tommy tried to make the Rage 40 and got tagged 'just' before he made it. Rage started to move then and run throught's centre and right took the Nexus guys down. As the dust settles a 3-4-1 was pulled on Rage leaving just one Rage player left...

Probably the best i've seen Nexus play since i left !!!!!

Game 2.... Vs Avalanche

Game started quite tight with both team losing 1 off the break. Avalanche took the 50's but it was a too and fro game which went to a 3 Nexus against 2 Avalanche. Leigh then went ahead and shot Tony making it 2 on 2 (Doh !!) batlle continues with an exchange of bodies making it 1 on 1 with Tommy Gun. Tommy didn't realise this and played as if it was him Vs more than 1. He Lost and Avalanche took the game... Again played good but no cigar !!

Game 3...... Vs Evil

Started out bad... REAL BAD.... Losing Jamie off the break (He's playing the snake, second game in a row tagged off the break) then Tommy cheap not long after then two others guys running into there posted up snake guy while dropping only 1 making it 3 on 6.

Tony makes a move to the snake. Burger and Tav keep on playing and one at a time the Evil guys walk off the field, hard to say where from but Tony just kept his head and took the kills when he could. Losing the count didn't help a great deal with 3 Nexus players against just 1 Evil player without them knowing that was the case. Took them a minute or so to realise but the end result was a win for Nexus with 3 Alive, not bad when it was 6 on 3.

Worst game Nexus have played and they get a win, two previous games they play well and lose... Go figure.

Game 4... Vs XVS

Not the best game. Started off even steven's with nobody making any big moves, Nexus made the best ground in the early section but then Jamie's paint magnet had been re-charged and he took one at nearly the same time as his back up man (tav) on the right which menas that the right wire is now open for business. You don't need to give Thomas (XSV) much more of an opening than that and he made sure the carnage began.. Nexus lose shooting out 3 players.

Next.... Bobbys Boyz

Game 5... Bob Longs Ironmen

Started off pretty bad losing 3 players in pretty short time. Tommy made a move to the 40 Bag halting any progress but was in a world of hurt with the 50 snkae and Tommy's opposite (40 Bag) on his case. Tommy soaked it up and took some pressure off the rest of the guys for a while. It looked like going to be a statemate until the men made a push to take out Tommy. The guy making the move gets tagged by Chris that had Tommy's back but continued to run on and Gogged Chris, while they are trying to get stuff sorted out the men rush Tommy the ref's lose control and pull Chris then Tommy has his ass in the wind and the end soon came...

A real solid performance from the 4 vs 7 Nexus players but the 3 cheap kills early doors was too much to bounce back from...

It's do or die now... They need to win the next three game to stand any chance.

Games 6 and 7...

Infamouse smashed them pretty much, left just the back 3 in against 6 and nowhere to move and no come back this time. Probably the second good beating they have had!!!

Iron Men... Well... Strange one this, Nexus take 3 kills for the lose of 1 body. Two guys in the snake, one on the centre 50 and one on the tape 50. Jamie raps and takes a hit a huge hit on the back of his hand. Pulls back into his bunker for safety and the ref pulls a 3-4-1's on Jamie but in fact pulls out 4 players leave Burgur on his own against 3 Iron Men. Bad BAD Call which cost them the game. It was 'In the Bag' as they say.

I take to the Iron Men and they said we couldn't believe it. We are getting destroyed then all these blue jerseys stood up at once !!!

Just the Wackers to go now.

Game 8... Vs Bushwackers

All over and only series points to play for. Dunny busrts to the centre 50 on the break and posts up on the snake side cutting off the Wackers. The wackers still try and make it but Dunny had it locked down...

The game continued with Nexus pushing the Wackers hard. Then run throught started from Nexus without any huge success. now it's two wackers (Both back corners) against 4 Nexus. Then Burgur gets a one for one leave 2 on 1 and somehow the last Wacker takes out Tav before Dunny shot him leaving Dunny to hang the flag and gave them a second win !!

A great game but again too many cheap loses. They can't wait until the last game of th event to pull some sweet moves off...

It's close guys but it still needs a little tweak.... trying to fill my boots is hard They need a paint chucking machine !

Off to Mons Now for beers and chicks !
