nexus ego 2 piece barrel

hey, ive just bought a 2nd hand nexus ego (not sure on year). i have started cleaning it down but i cant seperate the barrel sections, ive got the barrel off the marker but the front and back section wont undo!!

is there a best method of seperating? i gonna take them into work next week but dont wanna crush the barrel using the wrong method?

any help would be great.

also i havent got the manual (seller is looking for it for me) how do i remove the bolt to clean the marker?

and is it worth sending the whole lot somewhere for a complete service? prices? etc

The barrel is opposite thread. Have you tried both directions to undo?

do you mean the thread is left handed? and i just gave it a try in both directions and wont budge at all i dont know how long its been screwed together and i would assume that the thread being anodised will over time bind up?

try leaving it in the freezer overnight and using a couple or mole grips and some rags (to avoid scratching) break loose, in the right direction

as for the bolt, simply pull up on the bolt pin and slide out the back of the gun

cheers, i got bolt out now cant believe its that simple lol duh. the outer surface of the bolt seems very rough in places and has a lot of scraping along its length. i think may need some tlc before i use this on the field. if i sent it for a service is this something that would be replaced?

to be honest the outside of the bolt makes little difference, the scraping is very common and is normally caused by tiny bits of grit, dirt or paint on the insde of the breach

as long as the bolt slides freely back and forward then it should be fine, just make sure that the front face of the bolt is clean and isn't worn much

as far as i know they aren't usually replaced with a service
