Hey there

so, i'v been playing woodsball for the last few years with a succession of tippys and spyders and the odd mag, and was looking at getting into this sup air stuff.

My questions to you guys and gals is:

what kind of kit do i need?
what do i need to do to get into the tournement side of paintball?
and finally where around manchester (considering i dont drive lol) is a good place to start and get to grips with the whole scene of paintball past just playing in the woods lol?

thanks
Oz

1st of all gear is all based on budget :) any electro marker should do you nicley you can pick up some wicked deals on good guns for cheap nowadays
carbon fibre air bottle and a decent hopper (halo/reloader)
im presuming you have masks and what not, pack and pots, playing pants and jersey?

2nd of all once were reopened the Northern quarter is a good site, we focus on bring people that are new to sup air/paintball into the sport :) getting hooked up with a team is good also so you can get some decent tournament experience in, we have the fade 2 grey guys down at our site who play sup air and are about to enter some tourneys and also they play woodsland games :)

yeah, iv got a mask ( a old proflex lol, tough as ****) and the rest of the gubbins.

is a fiber wrap bottle all that crucial or would a steel one do?(i know co2 is out of the question)

and kit wise, im used of just slogging a few 9vs in my spyder and revy and going for it, is there anything i need to look out for with electro markers and stuff like that?

proflex are still the best mask out there ;) love mine to bits

steel will do but its all about the weight, and its basically the same principles if you buy a decent gun all i have to do is put a 9v in my ego and few AA's in my hopper and im good to go, the egos require very little maintenence and you can get awesome deals on them in the for sale section here, they are going for nothing nowadays, and they always say you get what you pay for ;)

Halo / reloader / velocity are all good loaders
Masks, depends what you have now, good masks generally used in sup-air is filers, flex's e-vents or grillz.
Playing clothes are generally a pair of pants and a jersey, proto are quite cheap, but im sure you can pick up some cheap ones off of hear 2nd hand
And of course, a pack is quite cheap to pick up aswell

Alright mate, I'm a member of team Fade 2 Gray (http://fade2gray.com) and you're welcome to come play with us next time!

We normally play at the Northern Quarter just by Manchester Airport. Whereabouts in Manchester are you based as we all drive, and I'm sure we could arrange to meet you somewhere and pick you up?

Between the 3 of us who play the NQ regularly, we have a decent range of markers you can try, from 06 Ego's, the new Etek2, ICD Promaster and even e-whore's antique Autococker! :D

Either reply in this thread, or better yet drop me a PM and we can sort something out.
