if i may enquire, but i take it scenario pistols shoot .68 like the average paintball? if im wrong correct me please as i totally not sure and have never used one.

...but if im right then why would they produce a pistol which uses smaller caliber paintballs? would that not put off potential buyers due to the restriction of paint choice, please correct me if im wrong

Probably for the same reason that airsoft uses BB's. Basically, these are airsoft guns with a way of 'marking' the person shot. A sort of "paintball junior" .

could it be a way round the fps limit on pistols. As the limit is measured by mass and velocity, a smaller mass = more velocity.

momentum is mass times velocity, velocity is always gonna be limited to 300 fps
might be easier to make smaller calibre paintballs more round, they could be spun as well since they have less liquid inside
but to be honest i think its all a big marketing plan, people always complain how anything smaller than the average paintball wont break and how they barely leave a mark. i think they want to make pistol game more popular, and it looks gay
