Attack of the Paintballers

Only one word can describe this weekend “Awesome”

As joint organiser I would like to thank a few people.

Steve and John at Paintball Park for the use of the site and facilities
Boris and the PP crew for the BBQ and keeping all players feed and watered all weekend and supplied with kit and CO2
H-pac for the first class air service all weekend
Just paintball for the hourly raffle prizes
Atmosphere paintball for prizes
WDP and Tomahawk for prizes
Sixth Element and PBUK for prizes
Warped Sport for prizes
Danger Zone for the pyrotechnics
Bob Bruton for Jabbas Hut
John “Quantum” Bonich for prizes

Now the slightly bigger Thank You’s

The 21 marshals who did an excellent job looking after 300+ players – not one incident – not one complaint - first class marshalling because of first class fair play. Dyehard – Bad Touch – Dusted Monkey – 6E marshals- Russ and Gilly

Liz for looking after the Rebel base camp.

The 6th element marshals and helpers for setting up the scenario at the site

All the acts at the “talent show” – the bear was awesome!!!!!

Now the really big Thank You’s

Gillie and Andy Hatton for organising the event and spending hours sorting out props and organising characters.

You lot – the players – the characters --- Excellent

So many players dressed in costume – amazing

First class - fair play - that is what it is about.

Finally

It was a UKPSF organised event and they have benefited by adding £1000+ to the coffers - Thank You

If you want to join follow this link http://www.ukpsf.com/joinnow.htm

Do we do it again?

I think the answer is YES

I have spent at least 10 seconds thinking of a name.

Since the rebels won this event maybe the next one (If you want Star wars again) could be called

Attack of the Paintballers 2
“The Empire Strikes Back”

Thank You All

Steve
:) :) :)

I apologise Mr Lucas for using your characters and ideas but we had a great time and we will be doing it again.;)

On behalf of the Empire I should like to point out that this was a temporary setback and we will crush these impudent rebel scum when next we meet upon the field of battle.

Massive respect to Bully, 6e, all who organised and took part and especially the Ringer Patrol who played a blinder all day. The red robes of the Imperial Guard were seen wherever the paint flew thickest.

See you next year.......

Emperor Palpatine.

The End.....?

And i heard a rumour that we may not have to wait a year till the next one !!! Would the Management like to confirm or deny that rumour?? Personally, fellow ballers of the Galaxy...I think we should petition to force the organisers to supply us with TWO UKPSF events each year..... Good idea? What do you think? ;) :)

Two a year would be great, but clashing with Big Game 2K4 could be a problem.

well id love 2 a year.... its such a great weekend and all the ballers in one place with an amazing atmosphere and after a while u all come to know each other and it just gets better. 2 per year sounds good to me, but then I'm not a tourney player so my other commitments are limited.

I would DEFINITELY be up for a big game every 6-ish months, and if we're wishing on a toasted teddy bear (sorry - read 'star'), why not have the game on a Saturday, so that the Sat night party could resound to the time honoured drunken cries of "..sho there I wash, right.."

I forget who I was chatting to (apologies - that's the magic of Stella Tortoise), but I heard at the weekend that one recently completed USA scenario game hosted 1300 people. Yes, 1300. Scary huh?

More info please!
