hi all, new here.

firstly i will say i have been paint balling a few times now and recently been at the weekend. (not sure if i have posted in the right section)

now here goes, me and a few mates are now in the position of getting our own kit.

right im keen to get up and going but i need a few questions answering first please.

i have money waiting for kit to be bought, i dont want basic equipment and then again i dont want top end stuff too, i wanna buy once and once only so want decentish kit.
so i want to know-

which gun is good? (upto £300)

Bottle?

Hopper?

mask?

any other equipment needed?

the thing which i dont fully understand is, what equipment is needed to recharge the gun with air, also is air or co2 better?

any other info appreciated :)

(i have tried to search info but could not get what i wanted really)

best bet is to look in the new users section.

but to answer some questions

air or co2 - air, more and more sites are doing air refills, tends to be better for the guns and cleaner?

as for other kit, it all depends on your preferances, what your comfortable with and what sort of variation of PB you play.

one thing i will say though is when it comes to a Mask don't scrimp as you only get one set of eyes.

try and get to a few games and try out various bits of kit and see what takes your fancy, also local stores should have some stock for you to try on.

To be honest I'd try and push your budget for the marker and look at an Etek from planet at just under £400. It's a great piece of kit and will avoid the scenario that many of us have gone through and bought cheap only to upgrade. Your other option is to buy second hand but obviously there's a risk with this unless you know the seller well and what your looking at.

if you only want to buy once and not have to upgrade to better stuff:

Bottle: Guerrilla Air(preferably with a Myth G2 regulator but a G1 works just as well)

Hopper: DYE rotor

Mask: DYE i4 (comes down to personal preference really and head size though)

All the above can be had for reasonable prices via the classified section. Just got to bide your time and pounce on a bargain!

Really basic question, what kind of paintball are you looking to get into?

General woodsball?
Mil Sim Scenario?
Tournament?

More then happy to help, but just help me narrow down what exactly you're looking to get into.
