probs best to search around for other post similar. I cant say what gun you should get cos only you can decide that depending on yours price range. Where you from and whats your price range?

go down to a shop or site and try peoples out, see what you like and what you get on with then look on forums etc and see whats going on

Everyone will just post their current/favorite/sponsor's markers up in a thread like this I'm afraid. Your best bet is to get yourself down to a walk on day or tournament and ask people there if you can treirs - most ballers will be happy to show off their shiny toys:D
And as Super Fly said, you can buy a marker ranging from a couple of hundred to a couple of thousand quid, so a price range is a must for anyone giving advice.

BTW - if you are definitely going to start playing tournaments then presumably you have a team. Can't you ask them for advice? Not getting at you, it just seems obvious that they would be the first people to ask rather than posting on the boards.

the main things to take into account when buying a gat is what u like, your price range, what u feel comfortable with and you like to shoot and also what your looking for from a gun, weight, easy maintance, machine gun, customer service and warrenty from the company that the gun is made by

Timmys (GZ, 2k2, 2k4 and a few 2k5 have now arrived, These are what Monkey Love are shooting this year, they are damm fast, reliable, pretty easy maintance as long as u dont piss about with it and a veyr popular choice at the moment, the only downside is the price range. You can pick up cheaper 2k4 versions for about £800 or 2k2 version for around £400 i think now)

Angels (can get the old 2k2 i think for pretty cheap all the way up to the new Speed 05 and G7 coming in soon)

Ego (from plannet eclipse, there all new gun that proved very popular and very good value for money)

Pimp (made by Evil/Pmi, it was taken from the smart parts impulse and improved)

Impulse and Shocker (impulse have been dying out recently but still good gun, Kyle from SHock is selling his beast for £200, then u got shocker that range in price. Andy from breathe is selling octane shockers for £595 i think *dont quote me on that*

Cocker (E2, Race frames, loads and loads of diff cockers out there)

where you from? there are shops like NPS in colchester and Just paintball in reading and planet in manc (i thinnk) and pheonix nr brum and fat bobs in leeds so see if there is a shop nr you or a site holding a walk on, head done and ask around.

If you are or already ahve joined a team ask them, they might be able to get you good deal on the guns that they shoot have a play with them etc

we are all really friendly..... honest :D

if u need any help in the quest into tourney ball gimme a shout over PM or on here and im sure me or one of the other baller will help ya out

I recon he's from Denigh-North Wales...for some reason...

PM Tom Allen on these boards. I believe he is in Cardiff, so will be able to recommend places to look.
He's also an Angel Tech, so if it was an Angel you might be after, you could do a lot worse than him for a new or secondhand one.

Which marker depends on what suits you, but also what level of hands on Technical you want to get.
