Hey guys and gals newbie to the forum more of a regular on UKS up to now, I already know a fair few members on here pretty well but to the guys and gals I don't know I say Hi!

I got into the sport just over 4 years ago and I have always only played at the monthly Diamond wars event at NPF, I never had the transport to spread my wings to different fields, I have recently joined a team to branch out into the supair side of balling after only ever being a woodsballer, I'm a very easy going guy who enjoys a good laugh both on and off the field and I am never scared of running into a fire fight just for the giggles of making the other team panic!
I look forward to chatting to you all in the threads as I love to get involved in any kind of paintball discussion where I know what I am talking about at least anyway lol

Hey fella, welcome to the forum.
Supair has always been up my street. I'm very new to paintball again really. I used to play when I was 15 or so [about 10 years ago] and all I played was supair. Now I'm returning back to the game and it seems the scene where I am has moved towards more recball type stuff. Not quite my thing, but at the moment anything to get me out and playing again. You'll love supair mate, it's all I would play if I could. :)

Well I've recently started playing walk ons ect and love the fast pace and finding my strengths. Found it not to be as challenging as expected so think I may have what it takes to look towards the supair direction. Only one way to find out :).

Hi Elliot, I was a scenario player through and through and have continued to do it since I was 13/14 which was a time ago (now 30).
I moved into Supair/Tourney style gaming about two years ago where I tracked down a team in London after moving.

The first thing I would say is look around your area and see what teams are about. I did a bit of checking and background reviews on a number of teams before deciding on one to try out. So definitely take your time with choosing a team. Saying that, I would say that getting out there and playing with those who have experience is the best way and worked for me. While I had been around the Paintball scene for a time, I was completely new to Tournament style gaming and had no real idea regarding markers, team tactics etc so my second tip is don't be afraid to show that side where knowledge may be lacking. The team I'm with (London Samurai) have been brilliant introducing me into the game and I'm sure all teams are just as happy to introduce you to all the different elements that come with it.

Final tip would be to just jump in head first and work through it. Go to some training practice events, team open days and see if it's for you. It's a great style of gaming and very different to scenario gaming. It's fast paced (normally), very tactical and a great laugh!
Start with beginner gear (unless you already have high end tourney markers) and then you can see what works for you. :)

Hope that helps!
