Newbie reporting for duty

Hi everyone,

I'm a complete newb when it comes to paint balling, I've done a couple of walk ons and played in the NvS Big Game last year for south.

Just wanted to introduce myself and say HI! as I've finally bit the bullet and ordered myself a marker

Ok here's my first noob question, I've been browsing the forum and I've seen people talking about Vanguard Demons etc and I was wondering do markers like that really make that much difference to justify the £400 price tag?

its more or less the case that you get what you pay for when it comes to markers. when you start entering the higher end market you are expecting to see all the features you would want on a gun like clamping feednecks, on/off asa, lcd boards, eyes etc. but you will also find that higher end guns will generally shoot smoother due to better quality materials and design. The demon doesn't do it for me personally but some people that have the newer parts installed now swear by them. Right now the guns right at the top are the vapor, luxe, geo3, dm12/13, ego11. g6r is really nice too. the mid range market that you are talking about also has some amazing shooters with guns like the axe and etek shining through. the reflex rail seems to be doing really well at the moment too.

Just got my bottle and mask through the mail. I picked up the Empire E vents and I was really impressed as far as masks go, very easy to change the lens and didn't fog on me in the very limited time I had to play with it.
I haven't had the ability to use the bottle yet as my marker is still in the mail. Any advice for when it turns up?
