im just started into paintball i was wondering if the syder compact deluxe is any good and where i can find stuff like scopes and other type of optics?
In all seriousness steer clear of scopes or magnifying optical sights. Loads of people put them on their markers, I even did it, (briefly), back in 89 on a pump gun, (he said almost embarrased to admit it).
The problem is they don't work. A paintball gun isn't like a rifle, the effective range is so much smaller a scope is pretty pointless even if you want to play as a "sniper".
The other problem with that is you can't see where your paint is going 'cause you're looking at the scope so any twigs, branches etc that are bursting the balls in flight. Also it's easier to get tunnel vision if you are concentrating on that perfect "sniper" shot and someone will mug your ass and it will hurt.
Stick with optical illusion sights (like the Dye Izon, or if it's still going the Daisy point sight), where you have both eyes open and you see a dot on the target. That way you'll still be able to see that screaming mugger headin' your way.
As to the marker get hold of What Painball gear and take a gander, the nice people at PGI wrote loads about spyders, etc and all the reviews are based as a report with pluses and minuses about a scale.
Better than the "they rock, they suck" threads you see on some other, less reputable forums
Thats a great gun i even own one myself just fix it up and it will be perfect. As for sights scopes or any thingelse I would go to Rhino splat house Outlaw paintball supply on state street or online at www.ebay.com or www.888paintball.com
