Good Day all,

I am a newbie to the game after having played it for the first time since my mate’s Stag day. I instantly fall in love with the adrenalin pumping excitement and would like to continue it.

My previous experience only includes hunting in Africa for Baboons and Antelope. Difference was that I was doing all the shooting and not being shot at, but I know how much that is all going to change. :D I am interested in any type of Paintball games and playing level. I am prepared to be thrown in the deep end and be stung if it means playing and improving.

So can anyone help with the following:

1.) Where can I play / train in Norwich
2.) Is there any teams looking for players in the Norwich area?
3.) Is a Tippmann A-5 Gun package suitable for a newbie like myself? (I would prefer accuracy and distance, than unrealistic shots per second)

Looking forward to your replies.

Hia I'm a newbie too, but if you want to get into Tournament paintball (which is mostly Sup'air) You need a stupid shots per second gun. Even though they have this insane rate of fire, the accuracy is still superb.

A Tippman A-5 would be better suited for rec-ball (woodland) and scenario games. If you want to go into tournaments and join a team, look into Planet Eclipse, Dye, Smart Parts, WDP Angel etc.

Hope this helps

Hi mate, Suggest you come along to the Skirmish Walk-on at Necton Just off The A47 Towards Swaffham. It's held on the last sunday of every month. There will be loads of own gun players there but you can still rent all the gear you need for the day. It will give you a chance to check out what everyone else is using. Everyone's really friendly, and most people will let you have a go with what they're using to give you an idea.

Olly's not there this week, so there'll be 90% less guns :D

depemds how much you want for a gun.
for about £100- £200 your best getting an ion. but then you need an air system which can start at £80.
but you can get it off here for a decent price :D
i dont buy the ion theory yes they play well yes they can compete well

but.... everyone i have touched has repulsed me they just dont feel right for me that is

Gotta agree there, can't put my finger on why. But i just don't like 'em. They're fast, cheap and shoot ropes straight out of the box, but just doesn't feel right to me. Though guess it's a matter of personal taste, if you can get on with them then they're allot of gat for not allot of £££.

LoL, maybe you and the marker have creative differences, it knows that you can afford more and better and so wants to reserve itself for someone who needs it and will love it the way it deserves LoL.
