newbie looking for advice

Hey there,
I'm not that new to paintball, put im really a recball player, and would like some advice on how to get started in paintballing

So are you only wanting to play rec or is tourneys the thing you wanna try !!! If it's rec try posting it under Recball !! Now if its Tourneys thsta a whole different thing !! Firt you need to find a team thats on the look out for players !! Then ask for a tryout .It also( FOR SOME TEAMS ) depends on if you've got all the kit and it is at the right level to compete at your chosen level I.e An Inferno is an awesome site/rec gun but at tourney level is not worth bothering with and the list could go on and on !!! I know the BERKS are on the hunt for players !! I hope that helps a very little bit !!!!

Yeh man, that helps a lot. Im definitely looking at getting into tourney play. I have been red balling for a couple of years. but im only 16, so i dunno what the chances are of me making it into a team. you seem to be a helpful guy. ive seen you making posts all over the newbies pages. thanks a ton, kyle

Well being 16 is def NOT a problem !! We've got a lad on our team who is only 15 so really for you its 1= can you afford it ?2= can you get there i.e a lift as tourneys are all over the place !!The last time I saw Berks ( Last week at the D7s ) they had to lads playin for them and they were about 13-14 years old !! So try them out .I think somewhere on this newbie forum is a post by a berks player Baz !! Pm him for info !! All the very best and happy hunting !!

hi kyle my name is danny i am looking for players to paly in me team your age is not a problem but what kit have you got and where abouts are you from. Do you have transport to get to tornys and can you afford to play them. i will have to see the level of play that you play at, depend where you live and if you are interested then you need to come to a training session at attack paintball in Newport, hope this helps

Hey danny. Sounds like youve got a task on your hands. my kit is part of the problem. I dont have a real source of income (trying to change that) and i have only ever borrowed kit from mates who i know that have their own. I dont really have much dosh as you could deduct, but thats partly cus of my age. Which newport are you from? South Wales?

Hey richard,
Yeh they sound like a good bunch. I checked out their website and stuff. But as i said, im at a major disadvantage cus i dont have my own gear. what would suggest as a marker for a starter? I was looking at a Spyder Victor 2? what do you think? it could be a while before i have the money for it though. Where exactly are u from then? who do u play for?

I was a founding member of a team called Tsunami ( Along with two m8s ) on which I played for,for about 4 years then about just over two months ago me and six other Tsunami players decided we had,had enough and left to start Bournemouth Riptide !!So as you can see I'm from sunnyish Bournemouth !! And thats who I play for now !!
