Lo all,

I went paintballing yesterday and absolutly loved it, everyone was really friendly and helpful and a good laugh so im thinking of taking it up as a hobby :)

First thing is im looking at a Tippmann 98, i know its aparently one of the most accurate guns but your own views on it would be apreciated :p

Here is the package im thinking of going for:

Good deal or not?
I would play pretty much everything and am looking to join a team and start playing tourneys once i get semi decent.

Also are Co2 refills free if you are playing on the site that is filling them up?

Cheers, Eddy

if your thinking of playing tourney then i would suggest youget an ion, you can pick them up for about £100 of the classfieds here.

You would have to run the ion on air (which will be free when you go to play)

If you did want to start off with rec'ball, yes im sure Co2 is free when you play and a tippmann would be good to start of with, altho i would check the classifieds here before paying for a package.

Tippman is usually strictly for rec-ball. If you want to enter tournament paintball, then a Tippmann would get you full of paint. They simply don't have the necessary fire rate. This is because sup'air unlike recball is slow and cumbersome and so accurate shots can afford to be taken, unlike in tournament, its all about speed and putting as much paint through your gun as possible so as to give cover to teammates to advance or just to keep their heads down.

Hope this helps.
