Ok guys and gals, I am looking for some information and advice on enterring tournaments we are a 5 man (can stretch to 7) team looking to enter our first tourney based in Cannock, Staffordshire. Where do we start, what type of tourney should we enter first, approx how much paint is needed per tourney on average etc and any other useful info you can pass on.

Cheers ;)

errr, can you just make one thread, I've deleted the two duplicates of this thread already (and there like 7 minutes apart). Put it up once and you'll get all the replies in one easy to reach place!;)

May even move this to "Tactics and Technique", but since you ask about specific tourneys to enter, we'll se how you go.

SPC 5 and 7 Man tournaments at Uttoxeter. Entry level 5-man tournament 'King of the Hill' is a good place to start- see the thread about the 4th round of the Uk Masters :)

This is my team's first season and we are finding the KotH Divison in the UK Masters is a great introduction.

Paint wise, The novice division (KotH) is limited to a hopper each and three pots shared between you. Thus a max of 1420 balls per game. We normally just bring 4 or 5 boxes for the day and that does us fine.

In terms of numbers, having between 5 and 7 players is about right for a 5 man team, as not everyone will be able to make it everytime.

Another option for the future could be the Paintball Association League. This is based in Rodbaston College in Stafford not to far from you. Although it might be a bit much for your first season, and a bit more expensive as it is unlimited paint, it might be an idea for the future.

Hope to see you at KotH next month.:)

Hey

I play tourney ball in Canada, and we never have paint limits, though we do have bps limits(sucks like hell no bounce...) I shoot about 2-3 boxes of paint a day myself I'm a back player, but it all depends on what position you play. as for what type of tournament to enter try something for rookies or if your under 17 young guns.
but thats just my 2 cents worth
