Hey all,

This is my first time on the site and I just have a couple of questions.

1) I have my own gear, I'm just wondering where the best 'walk on' places are to go down and shoot some paint? What's the crack with that as well do I need to book a walk on or are there specific walk on days?

2) as well as going on my own, I would love to play regular and perhaps join a team. The only thread I can find has a list of teams that was last posted in 2011. Does anyone know of an up to date 2014 team list?

Any info on the questions would be great!

Thanks.

A

Welcome
Where abouts are you based? Each site differs on dates, booking and prices so when people know your area they can give you more info

Have a look at this map for places near you, then see if they do walkons.
Check for facebook groups for the site, call them or pop in.

Let us know where you are and what experience you have of paintball, what you are into etc.

To play walkons, events, big games etc you don't need to be part of a team, or even go with friends. UK paintballers are a friendly community & you will make paintballing friends.

To play tournaments you obviously do need a team. To get in one then you need to make yourself known to them, but to make them want to you will have to show your skills. At some tournaments scratch teams will be formed from individuals, or sites with tournament fields run training days etc where you could turn up and show yourself off.

Thanks for the replies guys!

I am based up in North you're shire in RAF Leeming with work and either stay there at the weekends or travel home to lincoln. I've played before but never within a team with tactics and stuff. I have all my own gear as well.

Cheers

With regards to what I'm into I'd say anything. I love all forms from woodsball, scenario and I've only watched speedball and the NPPL on YouTube but that looks brilliant

Your not that far from me im up in durham we tend to play pointblank Darlington walkons and travel here and there for big games and events . More than welcome to come along with us. We aren't that serious and just enjoy shooting stuff in the woods etc we mainly tend to play scenario and don't do any tournie stuff

For woodsball and scenario you don't need a team, you can tag up informally with people in games, but take up reapers offer

Lookup the scenario calendar which is posted on a thread somewhere here, or the original on ukscenario.com
