hi everyone i am new to paintballing, and at the moment i'm looking for a marker that can be adaptable to tourny and scenario, ive been looking at the second hand markers but also at new like the proto rail or gog extacy, or the ion which is pretty much an extacy but before smart parts became gog! i can get velocity loader and im unsure of what tank to purchase first, i'd like something that isnt too big but i think thats not really practical for 6hour scenario games, and i'd like it too run on hpa, basically i have two questions if someone can help me.

what do people think of ions, i think you can pick them up cheaply and they can be customized for better performance over time if needs be.

and what are good tanks (hpa) too look out for brand wise?

cheers

I would stick with Planet Eclipse guns. You cant go wrong, reliable and able to take a beating with scenerio games and good for tourney.

In reality there are no such things as scenario & tourney markers.
Both are styles of paintball

In the UKs scenario events you wont be laughed off the field for having a bling marker
(unless you turn up in a full ghillie with a golden marker)

What is more relevant is your style of play, tourney play will mos likely require you to have a light marker that is comfortable to use and fast to react etc. ROF may be more relevant in tourney play, but it does not mean you never need ROF scenario

cheers for the responses, to be honest im looking for something light because i want to be as mobile and agile as possible, nothing really "bling" so it can be used for scenario and tournament and i like eteks but i'm gonna have to see if i can get something cheap in the sales section, because new they are 400+ and an extacy would be 200 new so i would have a warranty etc if anything went wrong with it!

unless you can still get them fixed second hand for free or cheaply.

If you're looking for something light, try an Invert Mini. I use one with a Guerilla bottle; light & tight.

cheers bdn ive looked at mini's and they look nice and querky, i like the that there isnt at a hose along the bottom, less things to break :p im graduating uni soon so im trying to persuade my mum to get me it as a graduation present or at least pay something towards it as it they are pricey

i think i'll choose either the, etek, mini, pmr or the extacy. depends what my final bydget is.

thats sorted for that, but with a tank, there's ninja, guerilla air, pure energy etc. i dont want to get something that is too small would you say a 1.1L air system running at 4500psi would be fine the ones ive seen are guerilla air and ive not heard anything bad so far.

Get a second hand Eclipse ego 8 there perfect for scenario and tourny. You can pick one up for about £250. As well as that get a 3000psi Hostile air Tank, they cost about £45 and there perfect for whaat you need.
