marker smart parts vibe cheap and reliable make sure you get the blackheart baord as it will have all the modes you will ever need

all you need is a force fed hopper like a halo and a air tank

as for pretection look for dye or eclipse arm pads and the eclipse overload bouce vest is good

for pants and jersey ive would go for valken or eclipse

As you can spend 3 times your budget on a marker, and still not use it at a site, I would suggest you buy both new AND second-hand.

I would advise you to buy new mask and clothes. If you can get to a paintball shop, you can try different masks to see which is most comfortable. If you can't, go to a paintball site which hosts walk-on players; explain your situation, & ask to try different masks. Clothing, I spent £28 on a one-piece camo suit. The money saved can be used to play paintball. Footwear - trainers or boots. Not expensive ones!

Everything else second-hand from a paintball forum such as this one.:)

In my (and many others) opinions

Dye are the best company for just about every piece of gear you need:

Markers
Goggle systems
Clothing / playing gear
pads / protection
the best loader on the planet, Dye Rotor

great customer service and different price ranges to suite all budgets!

If you go look in the newbies section, there are multiple threads on what is and isn't recommended. I know quite recently someone posted asking what they should get to start off with and that has got multiple replies with very handy tips...

Pretty standard entry level marker, high quality manufacture, every tech should be able to help you with it, and there are heaps of parts avaible if you need any replacements :D

all in all, if you have the money thats a good place to start...

if you are planning on playing in the woods an A5 makes a good starters gun while you see if you like it, the hoppers built in which saves money and you can do what you like to them and they'll still work. You'd probably get one with a flatline for less than £100 and if you decide you like it you can always buy an electro later (at which point the A5 will become an excellent back up). Check you've somewhere near by that you can take your own equipment to first.

Body protection is for girls.
