Ive been playing for a few years now and honestly, I'm still doing the same :p

When i play, Mainly scenario and woodsball, i play tactical: i try to get round the edge of players and take them out from the side (cover is then more or less useless for them :D), I co-ordinate shots with other teammates on opposite side of the field to confuse players and draw fire and if none of that works at all: go solo and sneak attacks :p
the above works well when im running my Etha or Combat :D

good tips though:

pick your shots - better to take a few shots that are hitting than lots that are wide/missing.
low profile - enough said bout that haha the more noticable you are, the more fire tends to come you way :)
team work - solo may work but playing as a team works well and has an all round good feeling
Fun - probs the most important to me and thats have fun always :D

out of curiosity, what marker are you using?

Try no to stick out when behind a shield, get a slim profile, try and keep your elbow in when holding your marker, I got told this years ago, it makes a big difference

Team work is the key! Communication, cover fire and movement wins games. Stay in contact with all your team across the field, find out what they can see, tell them want you can see. If someone has you pinned down, Ask a team mate to put some cover fire down, make them duck for cover then move while they can't see you. A well place smoke grenade causes confusion and is a great distraction to help you move to a better position. Stay low, stay small, try and be cunning in your movement, but also a Rambo run never goes A miss from time to time, you can catch people cold if theya re not expecting you to go charging out like a loony firing like Bren gun on acid :)
