Hey guys ,

I was just wondering about MilSim in the Uk.. I live down in Brighton and can only find paintball arenas that do normal shoots. I want something more relistic in the area..

Ive also been going over gear to buy for the MilSim experience;

BT Omega Paintball Gun with red dot side and side hanging hopper.
also want top get all the military gear to look the part too.

if anyone can give me pointers or ideas on what to get /do or go it would be much appreciated.

I have decided to go this course instead of joining the Army as My future wife (getting married in 2 1/2 weeks) has expressed its her or the army.

cheers

You have a few choices in paintball:
Punter style - your average stag do etc at rental prices

Walkons - this is usually once a month at sites for people with their own gear and you pay a lot less to play & for paint then punter play. This is dependant on the local crowd but you will expect a variety of players. Someone may be able to flag up a walkon site near you

Tourney style which is the bling marker play and on specified layouts, this is what you will see most of on this forum. You need a team but can get 'scratch' teams of individuals at events

Mil sim - this is the more serious dressing up and using the more realistic looking guns/markers & limited paint and is rarer to find. There is a uk milsim forum ... But keep on reading to scenario

Scenario -most players and information are to be found on the UKScenario forum.
This is not 'mil sim' but is what you may be more interested in. It attracts all kinds of players with bling, tippmanns & 'tactical' markers.
You can play a scenario event as a loner, as a team/mates or join up with guys you meet on the day
You can play any style such as shooting as many people as you can, sneaking around, being tactical or trying to achieve a scenario goal
A scenario can be about anything and could just have a rough theme or be full of tasks directly related to a scenario storyline
Scenarios in recent years have been on classic wood sites, in warehouses, a shopping centre (will not be repeated there), in underground bunkers, army training camps & fibua sites, etc

Search paintball scene magazine for a free online magazine and the back copies will give you a good idea of what is around. This also has calendars for tournament and scenario events
