New Shocker

Hey all,

I have the chance to get on a good deal with a 04 shocker, it's

got Vision, Max Flo, And a 68/45 tank for about $699. Now I know

this seems like a good deal but it is from a tourney team, Doc's

Raiders, and the have used the gun ALOT. I was just wondeing if

there is any problems with shockers when they have been shot

alot.

Best thing to do is to try it - find out which bolt/sleeve assembly it has, and that it hasn't worn to the point of leaking. If you can shoot half a box of paint thru it without
a) running out of air
b) seeing any problems
then you're probably ok.

Personaly I have found the SP HE bolt (turbo bolt) to be great, but had 1 or 2 probs with the evolve bolt. Not sure about the freeflow 1 maybe a quick search on the shocker owners forum would shed a bit of light on it?
As for hoppers have used both the halo b & eggy with z board,my fingers ain't that quick so no probs with either, just down to what your preferance is to how it looks, cost of replacement parts, ease of cleaning stripping etc.

I can get 17 out of these things without even trying (and no, these aren't ramping versions). I was certainly outshooting a y-board Egg.
You can increase the cycle delay to slow the gun down for your hopper, and a cut-down Egg *does* sit lower on the gun than a Halo, but that's all down to personal preference. Under most game conditions you're not shooting at those kind of speeds (unless you're playing in the NXL) so it probably won't be noticeable.

I've had both the SP and Evolve bolts, and they've both been fine for me. If anything, the Evolve one seems to be stiffer to move with your bare hands, but under pressure they both feel very similar. The important thing is efficiency - the stock bolt has really poor efficiency.
