New setup for about £500

I used to play allot and even marshalled for a year while at uni but my local site closed and I lost interest... now a few friends have started up again and i'm looking for a new setup.

I need everything basically, I do actually still have my old diablo trousers/jersey and JT Proflex but the goggle screen is cracked, can I get replacements? I have quite a big head mask wise and quite big hands marker wise if that makes a difference.

The closest shop to me is Eclipse in Manchester?

and are you looking to buy new, or second hand for a marker etc.

If you go second hand the you can get
a carbon fiber bottle with a good amount of test left for around £90
a decent hopper (Rotor £90/ Prophecy £50-£60)
and then your left with £420 + to get a marker, (second hand ego/geo/dm) or new etek 3 or proto reflex 2011

There are quite a few models of ego/geo/dm, which ones are the best to go for in my price range?

ego 9's, maybe a 10, dm 9's or 10's, geo with gr2 and gst kits. But if you get the hoppper and bottle first, you can decide on what gun you can get/afford then, and look in the for sale section

What're the main differences between an EGO10 and an ETEK 3 AM?

the etek has an led display, whereas the ego has an lcd screen display, there are probably other things aswell but thats the only thing i can think of, someone else will know better than me though

between an ego 10 and an etek 3? quite a large difference imo. When comparing Eteks and Egos, most will say in terms of performance an Etek 3 is just a little worse than an Ego 8, so if you want an idea of how much better an Ego 10 will perform, try comparing an Ego8 to an Ego10 for a rough idea.

So basically an Ego 10 has a smoother shot, more efficient gas usage (As far as i'm aware), and a lot less recoil, as well as a more advanced board with a screen instead of LEDs. Hope this helps
