New product from Tom Kaye

Its been a while since paintball has been blessed with a new design from Tom Kaye.

This compressor is designed to be used alongside a basic conventional compressor, allowing you to easily fill a dive tank to 4500psi over the course of half a day.
The idea is for a few hundred quid investment, you can fill your dive tanks at home on the Saturday and play with them on the Sunday.

Its refreshing to see some real innovation in paintball, with recent hopes turning out to be smoke and mirrors.
Maybe smart parts will bring out a magic box for this like they did with the mag :)

Looks like it has a big electric motor geared down with sprockets and chain. It's stated in post #1 "This compressor is designed to be used alongside a basic conventional compressor" What does this mean, and how will mini-unit be set up to fill a dive tank?

I took that to mean, you do the bulk fill over a longer period of time (half day whatever) and then use a normal "faster" compressor to top up on the day you are using the dive tanks.

suppose if you only use tanks for paintball this might be okay, but from a first look (and i am probably wrong no doubt :p) it looks like this just uses air straight from the surrounding atmosphere. this constantly being put into both scuba and paintball tanks over a long period of time could limit the life of them. nothing major but just a wee consideration when comparing to filling at a dive centre.
