wellcome to the board
check your paint to barrel match, and make sure your chronying at 280 fps
in thearey all markers should shoot the same distance if they have the same barrel/paint match and oulet pressure:D

I have a CP .68 barrel and I'm using .68 caliber paint. I haven't gotten a chance to chrono the gun myself the only people that have, have been the people at the paintball range.

All modern paint & markers are .68, but there is a bit of variation in every batch of paint made. The Freak barrel system, which has a number of inserts of different sizes so the bore/paint match can be more accurate, comes with 8 bore sizes ranging from around .679 to .693. I know this amount of variation doesn't look like much, only around a hundreth of an inch at worst, but I've seen the change in bore size make up to 60 fps difference with nothing else changed on the gun.
A stock barrel as sold with the marker tends to be on the large side, as that way just about all paint will at least go through it whereas if it was smaller then many types would break due to a tight fit.
If you tend to shoot the same brand & type of paint most of the time, it's worth getting a decent barrel that fits that particular paint as in general one type will be around the same size (though there may well be variations from batch to batch).

Firstly, try and get you local site to chrony your marker for you, to 280 fps.

Then when you play, take a paintball, and the barrel to your marker (without the marker attached to it) and place the paintball in one end.
If it rolls out really quickly, then the barrel is too big for the paint.
If it gets stuck, blow from the threaded end,
if it comes out easily, then its a good fit.
If you have to blow hard to get it out, then the barrel is too small.

If your having problems getting the marker to reach 280-fps, make sure that if the piranha has a regulator on it (the fron grip)
that its letting enough gas into the marker.
If it isnt, then you will need to get an allen key, and put it through the bottom of the reg, and turn it anticlockwise half to one turn, then try and re-chrony.

give us a shout if you have any other problems

what is it with paintballers and inuendo?

i was just informing our new member of the paintball colective how to check paint size. and you with your bent barrel turn it into something dirty.
You should be ashamed of yourself.

you must be right Henry:D anyway, Billy gives good advice and has helped me out many times which I am always grateful.

I'm going to kick his ass at Kenny's though and show him that a bent barrel is not only good for hitting him over the head but also shootin his ass from 250+ft straight shot. (no arking guns).:D, thats if he is on the other team. If he is on mine, I may let him shoot my marker, he might like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!:p
