My names Dean i've been playing rec ball with friends for the last few months and have been asked to join a friends torny team.

what gun would you recommend on a budget of about £150-200.

if new go for the ion

if second hand stick up your budget in the classified section and see whats offered

well im not too sure whether to go second hand or not.

are the markers reliable?
are they easy to get parts for?etc

Thers sum cheap Angel IR3's lurking around in the classfields somewhere. I think i saw one go for about 160 quid ish. Have a look (not just the first page). Otherwise ION wud be your best bet.

As a new player myself, I'd recommend going second hand. I just picked up an Angel IR3 for myself for £150

My advise is to go for an ION, and just have a marker that works without you having to fiddle with. The shop can fix it.

I bought a cheap 2nd hand cocker when I first started and didn't enjoy my first few months because I was always trying to get my marker working alright.

What could be fixed in a minute by Mr IR3, could mean you taking a trip to a shop or even worse having to send it off in the post to be fixed. Go for something a bit more complicated if you decide to join a team, you'll have the tech support to be able to fix problems then. Possibly, depends on what dumbasses you hang with.

you could go for an angel lcd, i sold mine for £155 posted . there is an angel lcd with angel air on the forums going for £200
