Hey I'm a new player looking to get into the sport any advice on equipment?

You don't have to have your own equipment to play, you can rent equipment from your local site until you are ready to buy your own equipment. The first thing that you want to get is a decent mask that you feel comfortable wearing. Best thing is to go to a walkon at your local site and ask other players if you can try their masks on, so you can get an idea of what you like and what is the most comfortable for you. You won't enjoy playing much if you have an uncomfortable mask.
