Second hand Ego 05/06 will set you back £150, its an old marker but the build quality is top and they are mega reliable, that leaves you money for a hopper, £40 should get you a halo. You'll need air which can be expensive unless you go 3000psi. Then its just goggs, pack and pads.

my recommendations would be

marker: etek2 or 2nd hand etek3
hopper: invert halo too
tank: anything 68cu 4500psi fibre wrap: pmi are cheap but heavier
mask: proto axis pro 2nd hand will cost buttons, or 2nd hand dye i4's (would personally say its worth the investment)
pack: NXe pack (the cheap plain black one, still works awesome). your choice of 3 or 4 pod capacity
pads: the full proto range is cheap but works awesome
playing gear: JT trousers are super cheap but work awesome, any top at all so long as you get elbow pads. something with thumbholes to stop it riding up.
extras: footie boots for some extra grip; headgear (beanie etc.) for bounces/protection; a cheapo pair of gloves if you want the protection on the back of your hand for diving

Get an etek 2 can pick them up for £200 ish really reliable gat... get a rotor don't waste your time with a halo or such like cus if you ask anyone wiv a rotor they'll tell you it's the dog's! and well worth it :) and the same with your air tank get a carbon fibre wrapped bottle can pick them up in the classified section on here for like £60 - £70 and some goggles get some I4's £40 and all this kit will last you ;) so for £300 ish you could have a full setup and keep up with the big boys shooting Ego's and NT's
