Yo, has anyone bought and used these new JT goggle sets:

Headshield
Axiom FX-10

If you have, can you please leave me an opinion, price, where from, etc. I've seen on their new website that Planet have the FX-10, but it seems to be a new type of lens ie. not a Spectra or Elite, which about half the world currently use!

Thank you SO much...:)

it's always 10/10 on pbreview......

Do a search........

That's what I'd recommend.

Loads of second hand, good goggle sets available on here in the classifieds section. Flex 7's, Pro-Flex & Proteus are the best ones....

hmmmm, looked at the FX10 things at the week-end. They are hard plastic fronted and have a broad frontal target area. They're also less sculptured than other top end goggle systems, so catching a hit on the "Stormtrooper-esque" bottom bits is more likely (and at top end tournaments this is going to make a difference). As to price point and design I'm guessing they fill the void below the Proteus and possible are an intermediate or even a Bling Rec-ball / occasional player type system.

If JT is your bag and your playing tournaments you can't really go wrong with the Proteus (small Profile), or Pro-flex (Bouncier). I found the vision to be no less than any other JT system. Didn't pay much attention to the release system, but I thought it took standard Spectra lenses as the pro-flex, Proteus etc (although I could be wrong).

I've owned Proteus, Nvisions, Pro-Flex, Morph's and now Pro-filers. Each has it's own benefits, but I'd really rate the Pro-filers as a cut above for having much improved Vision, the ergonomic design (they are quite pointy and sculptured), highly comfortable, and I find them aesthetically pleasing (although this is a personal thing). They're pretty rare at the mo, but otherwise for tourneys I'd go equal second on the NVisions (although for me I found my chin sticking down below the mask, and getting hit on the Desperate Dan hurts), or Pro-flex.

Otherwise I think the new JT ones would be a good intermediate system definitely competes on price, styling as always is a personal thing.

Well, I saw a mention of the FX-10's in PGI a while ago, and I thought , hmm, as you do, and now the look's sort of growing on me, so I might get some if I can get them cheap enough: I only play about 6-7 times a year at scenario games and such, and I've got JT Nvader and Radar goggle sets, with Elite thermal lenses and camo' netting.

I had a look on JT's website and the main focus of their sales pitch was the quick-release of the lens, not what type it was.

Anyway, I know a girl who's driving us to the Big Game 2k4 and who now wants to play; she's seen the Headshield system and wants a set, if I can get 'em cheap, natch!
