hmmmm, looked at the FX10 things at the week-end. They are hard plastic fronted and have a broad frontal target area. They're also less sculptured than other top end goggle systems, so catching a hit on the "Stormtrooper-esque" bottom bits is more likely (and at top end tournaments this is going to make a difference). As to price point and design I'm guessing they fill the void below the Proteus and possible are an intermediate or even a Bling Rec-ball / occasional player type system.
If JT is your bag and your playing tournaments you can't really go wrong with the Proteus (small Profile), or Pro-flex (Bouncier). I found the vision to be no less than any other JT system. Didn't pay much attention to the release system, but I thought it took standard Spectra lenses as the pro-flex, Proteus etc (although I could be wrong).
I've owned Proteus, Nvisions, Pro-Flex, Morph's and now Pro-filers. Each has it's own benefits, but I'd really rate the Pro-filers as a cut above for having much improved Vision, the ergonomic design (they are quite pointy and sculptured), highly comfortable, and I find them aesthetically pleasing (although this is a personal thing). They're pretty rare at the mo, but otherwise for tourneys I'd go equal second on the NVisions (although for me I found my chin sticking down below the mask, and getting hit on the Desperate Dan hurts), or Pro-flex.
Otherwise I think the new JT ones would be a good intermediate system definitely competes on price, styling as always is a personal thing.
