new guy needs info

well, im martin and went to carlisle paintball site last saturday! was real good fun and has made me decide to take it up as a hobbie at 1st see what lies ahead tho

i was wondering exactly what i need ? all i think i know i need is a gun, hopper, gas bottle, goggles, paintballs

and then a place to play!

but u see, im joining army in 2 weeks and after the 12 weeks training ill have eveery friday saturday and sunday to do whateva i want. im ment to go home but the 1st few months i wont have transport so could i go to my nearest paintball place near were my barracks are and play through the weekend ? like every weekend ? is this the main time people play ? and any other info would be great!

atm i live in north yorkshire and i iwll be based in surrey after my 12 weeks

You wont be needing to buy balls from a shop matey, every site has them for sale on the day.

And thats pretty much it matey.

If there is a paintball site situated near the barracks, there will be(or should be) a game on virtually every weekend. Which you can attend with your own gear (or rent it when your there) but book in with them first.

Yeah, weekend is common for every game to be played, from rental days, to tournament ball.

If your going to be based in surrey Campaign, is really good.

You may want to join a team or something. that way your not playing punters every three weeks waiting for a walk-on day (were everyone takes there own kit). you'll be training every week end and may be playing tourney's once a month too.
