New DM9 On / Off Dump system

The new DM9 has lost the front on / off because Dye have now changed the way the solenoid works by dumping any remaining air when the marker is switched off. Apparently this is one of the features they will release in their product spec at World Cup!!

That will be a godsend, its always been a fantastic idea with the front air pressure release, but its always been a bit fidly and easy to accidentally activate mid game. Dumping the air automatically when the gat is switched off is brilliant!!

You mean they didn't dump it because everyone replaces it with a flow plug because it was so pointless and they hated it, and to lose some weight..cool

I hate that thing, its to small to rap your fingers around and still becomfortable like on the ego with its lpr. It always digs into my hand.

No mate, me too. Was handy to use in the pits between points, making the gun safe.

I found the on/off really handy too when it was pointed out how it could be used in the pits. Each to their own i suppose.
The 9 does feel amazing without it though, the handling is unreal

nope. was awesome ... and how does this new system work when u switch of the gun or unsrew the air it dumps the air in the noid ????

Hi Guys

Sorry to ruin your fun, but sadly, no such function exists.

If the gun were designed to vent the solenoid when it was not switched on, then should you turn the gun off with the air still connected (say when you go into the pits during an Xball match), it would dump the entire tank. The best way to remove any remaining air from the marker is to de-gass the marker, then simply shoot the marker once (safely) as this will release any air still in the system.

As for the old on/off, I found it very handy, both as a tech and as a player. The DM9 handles very well without it though.

My personal favourite new feature on the DM9 is the 'swing' trigger. Allowing you set your trigger even more exactly to your own preference, with the added comfort of the UL frame - handling could not be easier.
