new cricket board problem

ok I bought a new cricket board from Smart Parts (the alure of 35 bps was too much for me ) I've stripped the old one out , but the new one doesn't fit in, there is no room in the i-frame for the speaker by the micro-switch.
I explained to SP that I was installing it into an i-frame, any ideas??

How much does it not fit by? Is it close?

simple cure

You have to un-solder the speeker from the board and attach it by wire then drop the speeker down in the battery chamber

then it fits a treat

thats what truter did to all the imperial team guns

or u can buy the new i frame ( not the best idea $$$$$$)

Right ok looks like PeeGee's suggestion is the way forward cos I aint buying a new frame.
Who fancies the task? cos me and soldering irons don't mix!!

Use a high swg wire so you dont starve the speaker of power

Alternativley when does the cricket board chirp? is it when you hit the max rof or when the eye stops a chop?
Would it work fine if I just removed the speaker?

swg???? hmmm not used to being confused in the tech forum

Standard wire guage, use R = r l /A to find the resitivity of the wire

And solder is easy, just dont be scared, and dont prod at things (Unless its a compaq)

So jury, what do you reakon will the board work fine if I remove the speaker?
