Hello everybody peeps,

I got some new grips fro my marker and it seems that after a while the screws have bitten in to the solinoid of my board and now my ion wont turn on.

I will be taking it back to the shop that i got my marker and grip from to find out why this happend on eqipment they supplied as i know its nothing i have done with regards to over tightening or anything like that.

However i have been offered a brand new Blackheart board for £52 do you think its worth just buying the new board for that money?

Thanks in advance

Rob

Im going to guess you mean the capacitor since thats what the screw sits over. The screws wouldn't have magicaly wound themselves in so i find it hard to believe you havent over tightened them. As above the new grips were probably thinner than the stock ones.

As for your question, the blackheart board is a worthwhile upgrade to have so now would seem to be a good time to get it.

Same thing happend to me with my first Ion apart it was a paintball shop. There so called tech screwed the screws in to the solinoid and give it back to me and said they had sorted it. Anyway I sent it to smart parts and payed £87 and got a blackheart board.

Get the blackheart board you will love it

I think you mean you damaged the capacitor on the board - if you find someone with soldering skills and the proper part, it should be an easy fix.

Did you install the grips yourself? if yes, then I do believe it was you that was at fault. The aftermarket grips quite often are thinner than the stock ones and it is the responsibility of the person that installed them on the marker.
Almost all manufacturers do not warrant parts damaged during installation of aftermarket acessories.

Also, if you do decide to get a different board, I'd say every other brand of board will be better than blackheart (more adjustability).

well....

even someone who knows what there doing with soldering will find it incredibly hard too find the right part as most capacitors dont have their values printed on them?
think the best bet will be too get another board. go go virtue!
