Hi pupster - in the same position meself.

Loads of good info to be had at the AGD website:

www.airgun.com

If you are the bad cuisine side of the Atlantic, they have a site for Europe too, but you can download the manuals and techie diagrams to help you when you strip it.

Also get yourself registered on the users forum at www.automags.org - loads of FAQs and helpful tech advice from other users, although lots of it tends to be about the new shiny toys (E-Mag, RT, etc). However, ask a question and you'll get a reply, and the guys from AGD post to it too.

There's also a handy FAQ at Warpig: www.warpig.com/paintball/technical/paintguns/automag_faq.shtml
which appears in a few other places on the web.

Arg dont volenteer me! And there are people out there that know a lot, lot, lot more about mags than i do.

But there isnt much to watch out for on mags, if your running Co2 only problems you're likely to have are worn out o-rings in the internals, just get a Automag Spares kit and replace them. Oil it before and after very game by putting a few drops of oil in it. Erm you might get a build up of dirt inside the tubes and possibly the internals, just strip down the mag and clean them. Get a filter put on your Co2 tank to solve that.

Any really major problems just send it to AGD Europe and they'll fix it for a small-ish cost.

And get HPA as soon as you can, cos you'll get the full 16bps a mag is capable of, with no drop-off.

Ok thats not how you oil a mag. Go to this link and download the mag manual, that'll give you all the info you need.

To oil a automag you put a 2-3 drops of oil in the air inlet, where the gas goes in. And dry fire it a few times with the barrel off, that means all the interals get oiled.

The bolt will need to be oiled lightly, separatly.

You are right first time bout oiling mags, put the oil where the bottle attaches and shoot it about 30 times with barrel off.

GOOD IDEA, makes them work a lot better in the long term.

I wouldn't worry about oiling the bolt though.

Do you have a stock bolt. if you do and you shoot quickly then throw that botl away and buy a venturie bolt or you will chop balls. i have owned several of them and had problems with all.

there is a nylon bushing between regs in the marker assembly that you need to flip very often or you will wear it out quickly.

if you do not have a power feed on your mag then you NEED a revo hopper if you desire to shoot with any quickness. you can also drill a 3/8 inch hole in the feed tube if you do not have a powerfeed to let the blowback air escape so that your balls dont hop on you. you can ask me any question that you like .....chances are that i have probably had those problems with my mag.
