no Mak, they were planning on having a 7man superleague at the events that dont have the EXL. A 7man best of 4 type match against one team, double elimination i think. Sort of the best of 7 man with the best of Xball.

It died i think Neil because there was no way of predetermining how many 7man teams would attned each event. Sweden had 8 teams last season, Amsterdam only 11, a superleague would be too hard to sustain as ther wold be hugely varying numbers of pro teams at each event

I think that it is going to be the same as it was last year, pro teams play a few pros, a few Div 1's and a few Div 2's

cheers pal! it makes sense, but the same could happen in X surely? i mean if only 3 teams enter Open XBall (i very much doubt this will happen)

Potentially that could happen yes, but Xball is something new, and as such Euro teams will want to play it. I would imagine that the following would show an interest in playing Open Xball, though maybe not at every event:

Miami Effect
Oakland Assassins
Any other NXL teams as they are allowed 4 non NXL events, but rules state they must still play Xball i think
Dynasty
Avalanche
Excessive
Hardcore
Storm
PGI Sharks/Twisted
Powertrip
Cyclone
Syndicate
Malera
Hellwood
Scalp
Worms
Enemy
Plus a host of teams that will play one off Open Xball events like Monkey Love, etc...

It will be interesting though, seeing who does what:)

could be a big crowd puller if lots of NXL team come over for every event! :)

if this is the case then we, non EXL teams will potentially get a steeper learning curve than the EXL teams. and if we go to the states to play Div 1 XBall as well, 2005 could be very interesting! ;) and teams may not wish to step up to EXL. just a thought! :)

i thought that a while ago as well dude. Watching Miami play Oakland or Dynasty or Lanche would be far more interesting than watching any of the EXL teams play. Maybe the EXL will suffer as a result fo the quality of teams in the Open catagory:confused:

The exhibition games on the thursday should be the most watched games. After all the teams have done their field walking they should get to see the NXL'ers play some fo the EXL'ers. It wouls be a spectacle fo'sho:D

Keep telling yourself that ;) :p

I cant see that many NXL teams coming over for more than one event, but i suppose only time will tell :)
