Hi there

I have just bought myself an Ion and PMI pure energy 3000 PSI 48 CU bottle. The bottle is a temporary measure just so i can go to walk-ons etc. I was looking to buy a bottle with a bigger capacity, as I am planning to play back-mid on the field. Please could any one reccomend me one, preferably for under £100 as I am tight on cash at the moment. I was browsing the classified section and found a "PMI Pure energy 5000 PSI" but I didnt even think 5000 PSI excisted. Please could some one give me some advice! it would be greatly appreacted

Cheers in advance

J

Yeah dude there is plenty of 5000 psi tanks. you just need to look around. by the way 5000pso is not the capacity its the pressire the bottle fills to. considering many fields only fill to 3000 i would suggest a 3000psi 1.1ltr tank.
the most popular tank used by any position on the team is a classic 4500psi 1.1ltr. so mate just look around. get to grips with different tanks. read reviews and make your choice... there's plenty out there

TBH I wouldn't bother with 3000psi. I know a lot of sites fill to 3000 psi but if you go to a site and the do fill to 4500psi you'll be stuck! Get 4500psi cos it's backwards-compatible with 3000psi :)

And a 1.1 should be fine for a mid-back player, if you decide on just back a 1.5l may be better.

Yes, but an on/off with purge and a rail would be better, so you can turn off the air supply and makes srewing on/unscrewing the bottle much easier and kind to o-rings. Rail so you can tweak the set up of the bottle to suit your arm length!

Again, I would reccomed a 1.1l (68/70 cu in) bottle, high pressure output (std 850psi perset reg) and either a 5000 or 4500 rated fibre wrapped tank, should cost no more than £100 in classifieds, plus the on/off & rail:)

And at the first tourney that has 4500psi fills only, he gets sidelinned and gets to watch all day long:(
Go for the 1.1L(0.68Cu)4500psi tank, its almost an international standard these days, and can be used at "ANY" fill station, and like onapurplemoped says get a purge on off when you can. Your o rings will thank you for it;)
Forgot to mention that if it's for an Ion, then get a high pressure reg (HP), they work better with HP, rather than LP..........(better recharge rates)

I had a moped once, it was yellow and black:D

Oh, important, when buying a s/h bottle:
Check it is Pi/HSE rated, not DOT, or you won't be able to fill it!
Check, and recheck it is in test, and when the retest is due!
Get pictures, or inspect it carefully before handing over the cash, make sure it has no scars, dings and dents, and the reg hasn't been attacked with mole grips!
If bying remote get the sellers name, address and phone number, if he sells you a dud, you can send the boys round, and give him a call to warn him;)
