Summer paintballing is here again and at the end of every hot day last year i had a pulsing headache due to the heat and presumably my mask. Does anyone know of any masks that are a little cooler in the hot weather, need something with extreme venting and i might actually consider buying a fan  lame i know but my brain is seriously suffering from heat abuse.
Anyone got any ideas or suggestions they can share? Do fans work very well?

The JT Proteus is well-vented, and can be fitted with a fan. The Extreme Rage 20/20 gogs also come with a built-in fan.

mikey is right mate

head aches are just one symptom of heat problems if you are suffering during a days play this just means you need too drink more water..

a good guide mate is if you go for a slash and your urine is at all discouloured you need to take on more water..

if its clear you are well hydrated and fine this does not count if you are consuming alchohol however lol.

i myself marshalled all day at the 7 man sunday and suffered a sore head which went with plenty of water..

dont think its your mask dude. would not buy another to solve a problem that only water will solve..

i have experience of working in hot conditions from Iraq and other places bud so believe me i aint just making up the above cheers Neil

The headaches can also be caused simply by wearing a mask all-day long...

When i marshall i have it fairly lose, but so it still stays on!!!

When i play, obviously it's off between games...

Drinking lots of water also helps.

I've had a pair of Dye Invisions and have now got a pair of V-Force Profilers, i thought both were great but the Profilers are better, they're lighter and cooler for sure...

Yeah you guys are right about the dehydration and its probably half of the cause but i believe applied pressure to certain parts of the head (over certain vains ect) can also be the cause and i think heat makes both causes more of an issue, i am quite a headache prone chap for some reason, even wearing a beanie for long periods can screw me up so im hoping getting a different mask and drinking more will sort it out, i'd like a new mask anyway to be honest, my green flex-7's are looking a bit oldschool now.
Like impamiizgraa said wearing loose can help but i dont really fancy doing that on the field :]
