I got a problem with my mag. A lot of people have had a look at it and have also not known what to do with it. The problem is that for some reason to get the velocity up to about 280fps or above the whole turny thing (not sure what itz called but it is the thing that u turn to turn up the velocity) sits so far into the valve that there is no space on the thread to fit a tourney cap. I take the valve to bits every day but cant seem to find out what the problem is.
Any help will be greatly appreciated
cheers

Hi matt,

underneath that adjuster at the back of your mag there should be a little black spring pack. This is what regulates your pressure. Take it out and examine it carefully, wipe off the grease, you are looking for cracks in the spring pack or fractures. Give john sosta a call or go to www.airgun.com and follow the link to airgun europe and mail the tech e-mail.

Once you get a new spring pack, pack it out with a suitable grease and then put it back into the mag.

hope this helps.

Yup

Bad dave sounds to me like he has hit the old nail on the head with that one.

The spring pack may just be knackered anayway - without fracturing.

in my tourney days i had played with a minimag (same thing i know) but this is your problem.

all posts have been right. you are not using enough pressure to increase pass 280 fps and your spring pack is shot. once your compress it to the max (which sounds like you have) then you will lose pressure more and more until you replace them.

you need to probably purchase a comp air tank that has a regulator on it and replace your springs.

once you have done this start with the reg. adjuster on the back of your gun all the way backed out. set the pressure on your tank to 875 psi and slowly adjust the gun to reach the desired fps. you should be able to acheive over 300 with it. that is the only true way to fix this gun
