need help with a milliumm ruleing????

ok i have heard that i can,t use a player in paris as he is not registered to play with the team
but he has not played any milliumm this year for us or anyone else
i can,t get to the rules as i don,t have the right softwear
or am i being fed some crap by another team m8
any sensable help would be greetfull

The relevant rule from the 2006 rulebook:

3.09 After a team's 3rd Millennium Series event the roster of Champions League, Div1 and Div2 teams are locked. If such a team wants to register a player for their roster, who is not present at one of the first three events, they need to provide his full name and birthday before the rosters are locked. Such a player can pick up an ID card later, provided he has been rostered by his team in time.

What I think this means is that if you have played all three Millenniums this year, then you can't add any new players to the roster. If you have not played all three, then you are free to add players to the roster.

Aaaah - untill now I have understood it as if ALL rosters (except for brand new teams!) were being locked after Madrid - well that being the rosters of the CPL, div. 1 and 2........

Are you sure that is taken from this years rulebook and not last years edition? Maybe I´m just totally off - I just read something different (I think?), when going through the new rulebook some weeks ago?!

Ooh - found it now - you are absolutely right Rabies, if a team has not yet played 3 events, they surely can register whatever players they wish - as long as they haven´t played for another higher-ranked team yet this season....

Roster locking? Surely that is a daft idea. It's hard enough to get players for a team as it is (especially the lower divisions).

I used to have this problem when the PA registration ruling first came in - but that is a lot more relaxed now.

Why can't anybody just play for any team? Seems yet another noose tightening around tourney'ball...
