The type of thing im looking for is a mid range marker thats not too exspensive eg below £200 or what ever that is in $. I was mainly thinking of getting a JT Excellerator 5.0but i have no idea what they fire like so if anyone can give me any ideas/advice of what to do you will make me look like this :D

I`ll give you some advice alot of people will probably give you, which is to where possible try all the markers in your price range. At least then you will know what you like, no point me telling you to get a Tippy, you buying one and then hating it :p

If you go to tournys or walk on`s Im sure most ballers will be more than happy for you to shoot their pride and joy ;)

Welcome

First of all, welcome to the forum, I haven't been around on here very long myself and the guys on here are very helpful & have certainly taught me a lot in not a lot of time :)

As for markers, Take a look at some Spyders they are great as first guns (im getting one soon), but as Gurney said, see if you can try some markers.

im just giving u my personal experiance here so it may be wrong but here goes.

i have owned 5 guns. at the moment i am using an angel. which at the moment is out of your price range.

i have owned 3 different auto cockers as well but i still think that the best gun other than my angel was my auto mag, this maybe because a didnt treat my cockers very well but as far as reliability and easy maintanace goes i can not fault the auto mag

so if u want a good cheap gun get a mag.

just my opinion:D :D

I have to agree, for ease of maintenance and reliability the Mag is right up there, also its very upgradeable, RT valve level 10 etc etc

I would agree with the guys though, mags are a very good buy for the money.......but as I said it best to try before you buy, you could probably pick up a nice 2nd hand one in the classifieds :) And with a level 10 they rip ;)

And putting an intellifeed on a Mag is very easy (for more info on the intellifeed ask Paul about the one I used to use and send a PM to me) it was the first Semi I had and it rocked. their are lots second hand easy to get reliable and they have the lowest profile for a marker around.

Hi there.
It just so happens that I have a Mag with bits for sale. I have just aquired an Automag RT, so I dont need it.
Its running Co2 at the mo, but upgrading is not a problem. I might even let it go with a Govnair air system..
Mags rule.
Some come close, but nothing has the ability to be faster at the mo.
When I say faster, I mean with paint leaving the barrel intact!
Cheers

My only advise would be to go for an electronic marker to help you keep up with the big boys.

Everyone needs a little help and electronic would be easier to get use to coz there is no need to pull off funny trigger moves like you do with cockers, I could never get use to them.

I've just got a gun for my sister for her 18th from Planet Eclipse. And done a huge amount of research and everyone has good things to say about the Dragun, in reviews etc.

A Dragun it does 10 bps and is easy to use and based on a spyder i believe, its light, quick, easy to clean and has a small profile.

What more do you need for £130+vat.

I looked at the JT range and even Planet thought the Dragun was better than the JT.

That my 1p's worth.......
