Si, are you always the harbinger of such great news??

Unfortunatley though id have to agree with Si's diagnosis.
If there is no CDs or disks in any of the drives, then your hard drive might be Knackered.

only thing to check is the boot sequence, in the bios (hit the DEL button as the PC boots)
Cant remember exactly where it is in that menu system, have a look. But make it read something like C, A, D or something similar where C comes first.
Save and exit
Then if you still get the error, your hard drive must be dead.
Sorry dude.

first thing is to get into your BIOS if you can... should have a message come saying something like "press F10 for setup" or something like that.

once in check in hardware to see if it can see your Hard disk.

If not power off and check connections to back of hard disk.

I everything looks connected power back up and see if you are still getting the same problem,

If so more info required...

how many hard disks are you running?
Is your boot order (in Bios) set to boot from the right hard drive?

check these first and let us know how you get on.

Si.

Old Git.
Years of PC support roles and dealing with annoying users has made me sinical...

Unfortunatley mate.. if there is mo media in and devices then it does look like either a hardware problem or a software crash.

Depending upon your OS it might be recoverable.. If it's running any of the modern Windows variants, try booting from the OS CD and try an auto repair.. they rarely work, and often cause more problems that thye fix.. but it might be your only option.

Any more radical solutions (like manually rebuilding installations or repairing Boot sectors) will need more technical knowledge..

Assumiong it's not a hardware problem your Diablo saved games should be Ok.. so don't Panic..
