Press Release!!!
NCPA College and High School Championships at Disney World, now with Open Classifications and $30,000 in CASH Prizes!

The National Collegiate Paintball Association is proud to announce that the 2004 College and High School Paintball National Championships will be held on Saturday, April 17 at Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex. In addition to being situated in the world’s largest vacation destination, Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex features such amenities as all-grass athletic fields, free paved parking, and on-site concessions. Coupled with certified officials paid an industry-leading wage and computerized registration, scheduling and scoring powered by the APPA, the NCPA will deliver one of the best events in paintball history. As well as college and high school competition on Saturday, the NCPA will also give all teams the opportunity to play at Disney in Novice, Advanced and Open 5-man classifications on Sunday, April 18.

The NCPA will not only deliver a top-quality event, but will also deliver one of the lowest-priced national-level tournaments as well. The entry fee for college and high school 5-man teams is only $100, with Novice, Advanced and Open entry starting at only $300 and paint available on-site directly from multiple vendors!

First place in the Open classification will net the winners $15,000 in cold, hard cash, with $5,000 in cash for first place in Advanced. The combined prize package totals over $30,000, all in cash!

As the last event of the college season, all of the top college programs are expected to attend in search of the National Championship title as well as those last points needed to take the 2003-2004 Season Championship, including schools like #1 Penn State, #2 Iowa State, #3 Connecticut, #4 Illinois State, #5 Purdue, #6 Illinois, #7 Clemson, #8 Georgia Tech #9 Cincinnati, #10 Rutgers, #13 Ohio State, #24 Louisiana State and #25 Georgia.

Qualifying for the event is not necessary. Any team of full-time graduate or undergraduate students from the same college or university is eligible for the college division, and any team of students from the same high school may play the high school division. The Open classification is open to all players. Advanced teams may have no more than one NPPL/PSP Proam/Division I player and Novice teams may have no Proam/Division I players and no more than one NPPL/PSP Novice/Division II player.

So if your team wants to play a top-quality national event at a top-quality event location with top-quality officiating at a rock-bottom price, head over to the event web page to register and check out more information about the event, or email ncpa@college-paintball.com or call 715-720-9131. Pre-registration deadline is April 5, so don't delay!
