Excuse the lameness of the thread, but I recently bought a 2nd hand cocker, and it has a home-made looking part on the front.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the part on the front of this cocker is that looks like a football ref's whistle:

On my cocker there is a but fat solenoid looking thigys, mounted to a bracket shapped piece of metal and is way bigger then the usual front part I've seen on most cockers. I'm wondering what mine is, and if a better one will make any difference. I have the 44 ram, eclipse q.e.v's etc, but like I say it's connected to a very strange solenoid housing.

Any ideas on an upgrade, and is this where the solenoid is usually? I also have a race frame not a e-blade.

Cheers

Nick

Well sort, the one I have seriously does not look like it was sold as a product, and looks like it was made in a front room. I work in manufacutring so I have a fairly good idea.

I think, that the race "Electronic 3-way (as you say LJ, cheers for the pads btw...quality) " was broken at one point and the guy I bought this from made a make shift one himself.

Anyways I'm thiking of replacing it as it looks a bit ugly.

What would be your recmondations? Belsales sell a Evolution "Hollow-point" 3-way at:

http://www.belsales.co.uk/pa.htm

But i cannot see how one of these parts holds a solenoid in, as my equivilent is massive!

Just goes to show the difference between Racegun and Planet matey!!! ;)

Joke!...Speak to Belsales, or PM DangerousBrian on here (works at Belsales), for a suitable Racegun solenoid housing....the two threeways you mentioned, wount work on your gun, as they are for Mech cockers, as LJ stated.

The newer type RG covers are smaller and nicer looking, but may not fit your solenoid, or be connectable to your frame..so speak to Brian.
