Just won an evolve kit on ebay & I heard it was wise to buy a new ram if the current one was well used.
This true?

I've got an 05 Speed, it's about 1 1/2 yrs used about once or twice a month, with about 1/2 to a box of paint each time.
I've never taken it apart so I couldn't really tell you what condition the ram was in...

Should I buy a new one; are they expensive?
& evolve also sell a rebuildable one for £39 but considering I just won the kit for £15...



Also, anyone ever used an anti-jam bolt?
are they superior to the soft nosed bolts? (dunno if they're older or newer or what?)

I'm not thinking for me I'm thinking for my Dad's IR3.

tbh id just try the kit with the ram you have in and see if its ok,i mean you dont want to go buying parts that you dont need i also know someone that could fit the kit for you if you go down quadball

Hmm I kinda fancy fitting it myself. I've got people who could set it up for me as well.

& I think as I don't have any angel tools, gauges, loctite, spare shims, handheld chrono or grease...
...or any technical knowledge, I think this is the wrong time to try & wing it & I think I'll wimp out & get someone to do it for me

If I took this to WDP in Brum, would someone there be able to do it for me?
