It's a slightly complicated question, so please bare with me:
A South Player takes an armband, goes out to play, is hit, hands over his armband, walks over to the North camp. He waits for the next re-insertion, is given a Northern armband. He then moves around the North back lines, gathering info, relaying troop positions, sniping and generally causing mayhem....
Would this be allowed? The rules say a player must have an armband to play, but it doesn't specify which colour.
Thanks
Oh and thanks very much for all your hard work! :D

He he he!! I was contemplating that all afternoon! As soon as the south had them nukes I was totally up for that. Myself and others were planning on doing that, but instead of just relaying information and stuff, we were gonna try to sneak one of the nukes out of the southern tent and back to ours when y'all weren't looking!! :p :D

We decided that the logistics just would work out, you know - sneakin' a nuke out of ure base. "Ummmm.....Paul just needs to check something.....make sure their totally safe you know - we'll bring them right back, honest!!"

Nah!!

Really though, I've heard of spy's and that kind of espionage stuff going on at other scenario games, like 24 and 48 hour ones. Would that be possible in something like the Big Game 2k2 do you reckon???

And thanks again y'all for a fab day! :)

I wish I had thought of it on the day :D
You would have had a hard time getting the nukes out as they were right outside our marquee. But it would have been fun to watch you try
;)

He he!! And bloody hard we would have tried too! :D
Can you imagine the look on the southerners faces on their front line as myself and a team mate come bounding down the dirt path luggin a massive nuke with us!!

Ohhh the pain, I can imagine the hail of paintball to follow after the realisation of the situation! He he he :p

Next time I shall find someone else stupid enough aid me......:D

lol like it
Jim Frensham from Warped here - funny you should bring this up, Blakey, the North General told me at a meeting 2 weeks ago that he might have spies playing on the South team, I told him that if he thought a spy could get messages through in person, by phone, whatever that was none of our business but that we would tolerate blatant shooting of players in the south team by north spies.

On the other point about armbands - i suppose it would have been easy to do that BUT its surely blatant cheating - and why bother playing if you dont wanna play in the spirit of the game?

Anyway - cheers all were all knackered here but still on a high - we are already compiling our lists of what worked well and what worked not so well for next year.

Well done John Bonich and the South Team in your historic victory!!

Several reports, loadsa pics, and some stream of the video that the tv co took will be on the warpedsports.com site soon

cheers

Jim (wrote scenario and commanded mercs/UN

Damn, I was just planning my whole day for next year!
In most scenario games, it's up to the General and his base security to ensure that all player ID's are checked before giving out armbands. So if they don't bother or are lax in their security, they deserve what they get. I would totally play in the spirit of the game, but if that includes being sneaky and underhanded, all the merrier.
I'd like to hear from John for his opinion on this.

I agree with your concept.I never encourage cheating, however a flexible interpretation or manipulation of rule or scenario may once in a while gain silent approval by the Judge.Have you ever watched the Dirty Dozen (the bit with the war game) ?
