I recently bought a SS freak back that was sold as a shocker back but its not. I have got most freak backs here to compare with and it is nearest match is to a spyder thread except the outer diameter of the thread is greater than the spyder and the thread is a slightly deeper pitch.

It is definately not A/C, Smart parts, Tippmann A5, spyder or original Angel thread.

Does anyone know what other Freak backs were available or was there more than one type of shocker thread?

I have managed to work out its an older shoccker thread:)

Really depends on what generation the shocker is.
The SFT shocker has a different thread type to the later NXT which used the Ion/impulse thread.
The same can be said for the earlier Angels as WDP/Angel Sports changed the thread pattern on the Angel a1.

The best thing would be to post a picture i'm sure somebody could identify it.

Or look on here... http://www.docsmachine.com/tech/barrelguide.html

Smart Parts thread and shocker are different. If it looks like a spyder thread it is probably Shocker SFT thread as they visually look similar. Shocker NXT's are smart parts thread AKA Ion thread.

Thanks for the help. Problem solved it was the older shocker thread type.
