Just like to say anything i say here is my personnal veiws which like it or not i am entitled to.

Ok i will start with X ball. I have never played this format so could not comment on how fun it is to play but do enjoy watching some games when i might have an interest in the teams playing.

However i believe that the way the teams were selected was incorrect and we should have follwed the US model of teams (sponsors) buying franchises as this would ensure all of the teams in the league have a vested interest. This would of also produced a source of income to help cover the initial setup costs of the league. The teams should also be locked into just playing x ball like in the states also, with maybe the exception of divisional xball in the states.

Scrap the premier league format and play standard 7 man for a year and whatever is finalised on next year. This way EXL can be played at all 9 millennium events and make a league out of it like in the states so teams have to attend every event.

As for standard 7 man play with the four divisions and announce the prize packages before events, the nppl manage it so it cant be that hard, so there is a good incentive to to enter higher divisions this year and then play well to get promoted. If you take time to work out the income from all the millenniums sources players, players cards, refresments, PAINT SPONSORS, other sponsors, trade stands and others it soon becomes apparent keeping the prize packages secret until after you have won whatever it is you got is sh1t.

As for the venues i think the millenium uses some great venues prob germany being my favorite however i do not pay a lot of my hard earned cash to spend my time in pain because i tripped over another sandbag or burnt myself on astro.

Feel free to add any other thoughts you may have

one other thing when are the dates going to be confirmed so teams can actually book their flights and hotels rather than waiting till a week before the event when everything will be real expensive

J, I agree with most of your post, but this is just too see through! I wonder why you'd want franchises this season, anything to do with Smart Parts Europe buying Ecstacy/Hybrid a spot?! :p

Can you honestly say that having the best 8 teams in Europe (by rankings) is wrong? I think it's a much fairer way of choosing teams. It also makes sure that a high level of 'ball will be played.

By the sounds of it; with Richmonds help, finance for the EXL isnt a problem, and the 8 teams are going to have to sign contracts stating that they will play all 4 legs. So why franchise?

Peace out

Who says we wouldnt buy ducks or powertrip a franchise as they are both better than us. besides i dont fancy being te whipping boy at the moment. but hopefully that should change soon if my plans come to fruition. besides the top eight have all got the biggest sponsors by a long way and it would stop one company other than draxxus dominating the league

There is no point having franchises this year, because there are very few people that would actually be able to buy them for teams. The figure in the SUa was $100,000! Are there any people in Europe that would pay that for their teams to play? If so, then that would be an even worse way of choosing teams, as a team like the Ugly Ducklings would probably not be able to afford a franchise, but a lesser team may well do. Having the top 8 is the best way to do it as it ensures the best teams are playing it. Sure it sucks if you came 9th last year, but there are always people who miss out.

Do you not think that merely by playing in ther league that teams will have a vested interest already?? Its not as if the 8 teams will have a laid back approach to the format, everyone wants to play to win! Simple.

What would be the benefit of locking in the players to the EXL? That would mean that these teams would get 4 events a year, and would endanger the sucess of the seires. The MS is relying on these 8 teams to play the PL and vcalidate it with their presence. Locking them in would be detrimental to the league, and would probably push some of the players/ teams out, like the scenario with Dynasty, Avalanche, Dogs, Strange etc... In the US there are enough pro teams to have a top draw NXL with any of the top 15 pro teams. In Europe, if there were 2 of the chosen 8 that dropped out, the league would dramatically drop in quality
