well i was just shooting my new z force halfblock cocker in the garden...and it stopped shooting. on closer inspection the pumparm had broken off from the back block!!!

and theres a leak coming from the front screw which connects the frame to the gun.

any help would be appreciated.

So what’s buggered the back block or the arm? Neither is stock, so you’re either looking a custom made part or get in touch with z force.

As for the leak it’s not possible from the point you mention that’s a blind hole on the body, where the front frame screw goes in on a cocker.
You’ll have to investigate the leak a little further.

its definitly leaking through the front screw, i took the frame off to put a new trigger in it, there was gas tape on the front screw, i didnt have any so i covered it in locktight, but that obviously hasnt worked, and neither does gas tape as i found out today.

the backblock came clean off the pump arm, theres threads for a screw to go in both ends but it also looks as if it was glued on, and i dont understand how it could of unscrew, and i cant find the screw either, if there was one. anyone know who sells halfblock backblocks and pumparms?

I think you might want to have a little 'chat' with the person that sold it to you?

You will find that the problem has most likely been caused by an incorrectly set up back block.

The back block SHOULD NOT, touch the back of the gun.
There should be a gap of around 1mm, so that every time the block shuts, it isn't yanking on the threads between the block and pump arm.
On a Z-Force...the Pump arm (which is ALI..yuk!), locates in the back block, then an allen bolt passes through the block from the rear, and screws into the pump arm...that is why it would have been thread locked.

Z-Force are made by Warped Sports LA...I think here is a Warped Sports up North somewhere who may be able to help...if not, just email Glenn at Warped LA. Also worth asking him if they have finished the converter, for use with an MQ Valve...if you want a truly special gun.

Leak wise...check you hose connections and use some soapy water to actually check where it is...gas it up with the frame off of you thing it is coming through the front frame screw...though as Sajj said, there are no airways there.

You may find the leak is coming from the 15 Degree ASA, and that the front screw, just had PTFE tape on it, as it comes loose or something. Or it could be coming from the middle grub screw under teh frame, this is a blanking plug, for locking in the valve...check that.

thanks skeet, much appreciated.

Glenn did the conversion for me, seems like a nice guy, i emailed him and asked for a replacement screw, but havent had an answer yet. im pretty sure my backblock didnt touch the back of the gun, there was about a half centimeter gap. and yer i agree that the pump arm is balls, its sounds as if its made out of porcelain, and i want to replace it, but i have no idea who would make it, anybody in the uk? the leak is weird, but im sure it can be fixed.

thanks guys.
