Guys I have scanned the net for the difference from a RED LED to a GREEN LED but couldnt find difference other then UK should be green and US red. Well I have an Ion here brand new and it has a RED LED on it and looks as though the box is ticked for the US board. Now whats the difference?

Have I lost out of is it a better board inside? Please help guys!! :rolleyes:
Should I return asking for UK board?

Thx

Kenny

Well mate you have got the board with all the burst modes and fully auto mode and so on there all illegal in britain hence why they usually ship with the uk board which only has semi auto and ramping i think you could take it back or keep that up to you as long as your sensible with it (not using it on live targets) or in ANY public place whatsoever

it will have:

semi
3 round burst (capped at 15bps) {US board only}
full auto (capped at 15bps) {US board only}
rebound mode (a form of ramping)

But theres a switch inside it that puts it back so it can only operate on semi auto mode...

If you don't do that and a ref catches you with any other mode available they'll either ban you from using any gun for rest of tournament, or kick you out, or penalise you... (1 of the KOTH teams was a gun down all day as they didn't realise it was a unlocked US board until the player accidentally hit the change mode button just as the ref tested it...)

sounds a bit dubious to me... you cant change mode without having the frame open... does the guy normally make a habit of doing that, and accidentally button tapping inside it??? :rolleyes: doubt it somehow

The stock board has to go through a little menu to change fire modes, very very hard to do by mistake !!! The buttons aren't that easy to press either. (Especially the power)

Regardless, don't send it back because the US version can do everything the UK version can + more. If you don't use them two extra modes then they wont bother you, if you do then hey it's a freebie. Unless of course you either hate red or love green.
