My Halo B

i bought a halo B(used) and i'm experiencing some nasty problems...

- i did a test with 100 balls, it took 8 seconds. This is around 11bps! its meant to be 22bps +.
- The drive cone seems to scratch on something every now and then.

Whats wrong and can anyone help me?

PS: My friend seems to tell me its the motor, just want a second opinion as i dont think that is the only problem.

Do you know what board is in it? if it's got a V35 it may be set on a lower speed.

8 seconds! take it apart and see if theres anything unusual. and change the battery, only use good ones, if you havent already.

when you take it apart, make sure the connections to the board are good.

It will either be the motor or the board, have you got another one you could swap bits over on to eliminate them?
