Iv decided that it would be a good idea to get myself a marker. However I have very little knowledge of markers and I was hoping that people could help

My budget for a marker is £100-£150
At the moment I woodball however I am likely to move into speedball once I get into it a bit more.

So far I have looked at getting a second hand ion/epiphany what are peoples feelings on this gun?

I also need a hopper and air system any ideas?

Please can you also recommend how much I should be looking to pay for them I doubt I will but I don’t want to have any chance of being ripped off

Please take in mind I am a student and have a very limited budget

Thanks to anyone who helps.
:D

You can get an Ion with some good upgrades (a q-lock and OOPS are the two main ones you'd want)for around 120ish off here, though you might get a cheaper one if you're lucky or don't care about ups. Hopper-wise, for the cheap, fast and reliable option the EvolutionII or III (egg)are the common suggestion, Cliff usually seems to have some:p You could get one from the 20-30 mark easy. Air: if you go 2nd hand make sure you check what date it needs retesting (every 5 yrs) and you'll want one with a HP reg on it unless you decide to buy an Angel. 1.1L is the size you'll most likely want, and I would recommend a fibre-wrap bottle, but if you really can't afford it there are steelies going for around 35-40 quid. They're justa bit heavy and only fill to 300psi (verses 4500 with a fibre wrap). GOGGS: make sure you don't skimp on these! Get a good mask if you don't have one already. Grillz, profilers, e-vents/avatars are all great. Hope this has helped :)

I would have to agree with most of the other people, get an Ion or the XE version. Mainly as they are really cheap and is a great starter marker as they are easy to maintain and clean, are quite fast and have limitless up's and customizations u can do to em ;)

Also I would say not to get an Epiphany as they are heavy, and cost more than an Ion, when the only difference I know is that the Epiphany has a different body kit.

I never thought I'd say this, but Ion FTW! :D
