My Egg's too slow ?

I've been having problems with my cocker and now that it's sorted i'm having problems with my cocker?? eh ?

Now onto my point, My egg2 with Y board is supposedly good for 19bpsand seems to be running fine?, yet i proved yesterday that it's only running 12bps as that is what my zero-b recorded but it was chopping maybe every 8th ball?
Then we switched it to a halo and the gun ran 15bps without breaks, so in conclusion the gun is fine but it's my egg !

So onto question time>>>
Is 19bps yet another mythical figure from the "paintball bulls**t fairies" or do i have a problem?
If i do have a problem, what can i do to resolve it?
What does the Z board actually do?

Oh and before the "Numpty squad start", i don't want to buy a halo or re-loader b as i actually like the egg, i just need it faster !

Z Boards software is more like the halo software - the faster your gun cycles and the quicker the ball stack needs "filling" the faster the egg paddles turn.

What a manufacturer state and what it will do for Joe Bloggs are 2 different things

Eggs are alot slower than Halos by far, the Z makes a noticable difference but nothing no a halo....

my y board egg was tested this sunday, in PSP mode on a zero B 04 factory cocker and got 13-14 bps consistently

thats about peak for a yboard id say
obviously haloB with z-code / angry board happily feeds 15bps all day long in PSP mode.

So Gents, an honest opinion please

Do you reckon if i fit a Z board, i will get a reliable and constant 15bps?
That's all i need to achieve, i can't pull more than 12bps in semi and obviously rampings capped at 15bps anyway, but i want to have a constant 15bps available.
I've heard of things like team "race" motors, does anyone know if these exsist and are they available anywhere? or do i have to experiment and search through the RS components bible?

id say no guarantees but worth a bash as its probably the "quickest fix"...yes team motors can be found but thatd take a while im guessing..

fwiw my y board egg does 14 as i said but my brother zboard does 12 in PSP so go figure that one

if if doesnt help you then someone is always after a cheap z board for an egg

your only realy guarentee is to run a halo - Z will speed it up but there no promises your gun will run at 15 bps consistantly with it

this might sound stupid but did u try it with fresh batteries, i was shootin my ego at 15bps mayby more not sure but i started to chop at the end of the day cause my egg was running low on power. the paint i was using was cryptic which i use most of the time so im sure it wasnt that.

others things aswell like hte paddles being bent will slow your hopper down.

If the paddles are straight and not really bendy then it will help ur speed.

My Egg's in as new condition and internals are faultless, i will admit that the batteries were not fresh from the packet but they hadn't seen a lot of use. they were duracells as well and not rechargables.
i will try switching them tonight to see if there is a difference but i had noted how fast the paddle was spinning and it didn't seem any different to what it does normally.
Apart from the Z-board are there any tuning tricks with an egg?
